WHO IS XION PG ?
BRIEF HISTORY:

Two Dutch guys with a background in Film/Tv stunts and law enforcement, read an article in a science magazine about a new ‘smart’ polymer called D3O®.
They immediately saw the potential to replace existing rigid and bulky impact protection gear with a low-profile and flexible solution. They jumped on a plane to meet the company behind this invention, and so their journey began… the XION® Protective Gear (PG) brand was born.

NOW:

Anyone who actively faces physical impact, either professionally or leisure-wise, can greatly benefit from wearing high-quality XION® products.
The founders of XION® feel extremely confident that they have designed and developed the “next generation” of protective base layers.

As stunt professionals, as well as serving in law enforcement, we believe everyone encountering physical impact should be able to do it safely.

Our aim is to let users enjoy their sport, work or leisure carefree, by minimising the risks of serious injuries. Our products are a result of due care and dedication and we hope you will enjoy them as much as we do creating them.

In (extreme) sports, stunts and police or other law enforcers, our revolutionary design offers your body the best protection there is. Our products are thin, comfortable and flexible and we use the highest quality materials. At the same time they are extremely impact reductive, thanks to the groundbreaking D3O® technology we use.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PRODUCTS ?

We are often asked Which product is best to protect certain areas of the body for a specific activity:

Although our products may have been designed with a specific activity in mind, they are basically body protective products that protect certain areas of the body. It is up to the buyer to decide which areas he/she wants to protect in order to make the right choice of product.

HOW DO I DETERMINE THE RIGHT SIZE ?

Ordering the right size is important. Please check our Sizing Guide and follow the instructions at the bottom of the sizing chart for best results.

LEADING MEASUREMENTS TO BE TAKEN:

  • Jackets, vest & shirts: chest circumference
  • Pants, bermudas & shorts: waist circumference
  • Limb (elbow & knee) protectors: upper arm / upper leg circumference
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY XION PG PRODUCTS ?

Take care of your XION® gear and check the products before each use for signs of wear and/or damage and replace if necessary. For maximum protection all XION® products should be properly sized and fitted to the wearer and not be modified in any way.

CAN XION CUSTOMISE EXISTING PRODUCTS UPON REQUEST ?

No! the products available online are the products we sell and XION does not offer tailor-made solutions for the consumer market.

WARRANTY: MY XION/D3O PRODUCT IS DAMAGED/BROKEN, CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT ?

XION® products are warrantied against defect in material & workmanship for a period of 60 days from date of purchase.

XION® warrants that all its products are fit for their intended use and free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship when delivered to its dealers/agents.

For goods purchased on XION’s website, please contact us at sales@xionpg.com.

Proof of purchase is required with all potential warranty claims and is limited to the original customer. A repair or replacement of defective product(s) is the customer’s sole and exclusive remedy. The warranty does not cover any damage to the product caused by an accident, misuse, failure to follow installation, operating and or care instructions, misapplication, alteration or (an attempt to) unauthorized repair by anyone other than XION®. Corrosion and deterioration caused by material fatigue (after use) is not covered by the warranty.

ARE XION PG PRODUCTS FIRE RESISTANT (FR) OR AVAILABLE IN FR ?

We have a specific range of products available in FR. These products are ONLY available for the PPE market and not for the consumer markets. A minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 51 pieces per model/style is applicable for PPE customers.

ABOUT D3O

WHAT IS D3O ?

D3O is a UK based company specialising in impact protection and shock absorption. It develops unique, high performance impact protection technologies that are used by global brands in sports-, electronics-, motorcycle-, defence- and industrial workwear.

HOW DOES D3O TECHNOLIGIES WORK ?

D3O uses unique patented and proprietary technologies to make rate-sensitive, soft, flexible materials with high shock absorbing properties that are used in impact protection products. Based on non-Newtonian principles, in its raw form, the material’s molecules flow freely, allowing it to be soft and flexible, but on impact lock together to dissipate impact energy and reduce transmitted force.

ARE D3O® PRODUCTS BULLETPROOF OR STAB PROOF ?

No! To date D3O has focussed on soft armour and materials suitable for blunt trauma impacts. These materials in isolation are not bullet or stab proof.

WHAT IS THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF D3O PRODUCTS ?

The life expectancy will depend on the conditions the material endures and how it is looked after during use, maintenance and storage. D3O® protectors are designed to withstand multiple impacts. However, the re-use-ability of the protectors will depend on the severity of the impact. After any significant impact the protectors should be inspected by the end-user.

CAN I BUY D3O PADS SEPARATELY ?

D3O is a business-to-business company, supplying approved partner brands across the world with D3O® shock absorbing solutions for integration into their product ranges. The partner brands D3O supplies then sell finished products to retail. D3O does not directly supply to distributors for brands.

XION only sells D3O pads separately to existing customers for the purpose of replacing broken or damaged pads.
If you have not ordered products from XION before, you cannot buy D3O pads from XION.

ABOUT ORDERING, PAYMENTS & SHIPPING

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I PLACED AN ORDER ONLINE ?

After you choose to purchase one or more of our products, XION® aims to dispatch your order within 2-8 working days. Our preferred agent DHL takes care of the shipment from our warehouse to your door.

If your address is outside of the EU you may be charged with import duties/taxes for your purchase at xionpg.com. Unfortunately we cannot predict or estimate the amount because each country’s custom regulations establishes it individually.

Once your order will be shipped you receive a notification of DHL EXPRESS ON DEMAND DELIVERY (DHL ODD)

ODD will email and/or SMS you about your shipment’s progress and estimated delivery date/time.

WHAT ARE CUSTOMS DUTIES & DO I NEED TO PAY VAT ?

XION PG ships its products from 24235 Stein, Germany (the European Union). If your shipping address is outside of the EU, you are importing goods into your country. The postal or courier company, in this case DHL, will take care of declaring the goods to local Customs. You (The customer) pays them the costs for registrations and the import duties (when applicable), and therefore may be charged with import duties / taxes for your purchase at xionpg.com. Unfortunately, these charges are not predictable and the amount can’t be estimated because it is established individually by each country’s customs regulations.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED IN THE ONLINE SHOP ?
XION ACCEPTS THE FOLLOWING PAYMENT METHODS:
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, CastaSi & Cartes Bancaires
  • Paypal
  • SEPA Bank transfer
  • SOFORT Banking

All orders are billed in EURO. Other currencies may be displayed and should only be taken as a guideline regarding the latest exchange rates.
All credit and debit card payments are carried out by a Secure payment environment. XION® does not hold any credit or debit card details online.

WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY CHARGES AND HOW LONG WILL DELIVERY TAKE ?

When placing an order online in our webshop, the estimated shipping costs are calculated based on your address information and the chosen shipping services offered by our forwarder (DHL) during checkout. Although estimated transit times may be displayed, we cannot guarantee actual transittimes. DHL will however, provide several services and information to our customers to plan and monitor shipments from our warehouse to your doorstep. HOW DO I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY PURCHASE ?

If, in the unlikely event, you are not happy with your purchase from XION® or bought the wrong size, any item can be returned in original condition with the original packaging including all of the original tags and labels, within 14 days from receipt of purchase. You may ask for a direct size exchange, a refund, or exchange the item for another of equal value.

Postage & packaging is non-refundable and the purchaser is responsible for returning the goods to XION® fully carriage paid.
We recommend you use a traceable system for the return of your goods and insure them appropriately.
